Welcome┬áto Lancaster’s Premier Botox and Aesthetics Clinic

Botox is a purified protein that has been in use in the medical industry for years and is the worlds best known injectable. Injected in highly diluted doses to specific areas of the face it temporarily blocks the nerve impulses to the muscles helping them to relax, and when used on the face it stops muscular contractions that create lines and wrinkles over time. The relaxation of the muscles, enable the skin to relax and lines to smooth away. Untreated facial muscles contract normally, allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected.

What happens at the first appointment?

A thorough medical history will be taken during the consultation to ensure that you can be safely treated with Botox. Consultations are carried out at our clinic Lancaster in Lancashire and has free parking directly outside the clinic.

Our valuable support is available throughout your Botox treatment to make the process as comfortable and simple as possible. If you are not suitable for Botox treatment we offer support when finding you an alternative option. We continually update our practice and adapt our techniques to work with your individual requirements. I will discuss with you exactly where to administer several tiny injections to achieve the best results from your Botox treatment. Everyone is different. Some people prefer a more natural look retaining minimal movement, whilst others like all the movement to go. Some people like a very arched eyebrow, but men for example want their eyebrows to remain straight.

The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes and discomfort is minimal and brief. Vitamin K is used to cool and nourish the skin afterwards. You may resume normal activity immediately. There may be slight redness following the treatment but this generally resolves within an hour or less. Minor bruising occurs in some people but can be covered with make-up. Avoiding Aspirin, Ibuprofen and alcohol prior to the botox treatment and soon after will minimise the risk of bruising.

I generally tell my patients that it takes 2-3 days for botox to take effect. Once it “kicks in” you will notice that your wrinkles are significantly improved and your skin looks smoother. Looking natural is key. The longer you have botox treatments, the weaker the muscles get and the smaller they become. Smaller muscles require less product with longer duration between treatments.
